Back in 1943 the members of the Horological Society of New York and the Philadelphia Watchmakers’ Guild embarked on an extraordinary journey to create the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors (NAWCC) in the United States of America. Today the NAWCC is the largest horological membership organisation in the world and as proud members we are honoured to be involved in celebrating its landmark ‘diamond’ 75th anniversary.
The world was in a particularly parlous state during the early years of the NAWCC. The coming together of members and the formation of the organisation’s ‘Chapters’ which are still thriving today, must have given some comfort to members with a shared passion of horology at its heart.
We know there will be various special events to mark this auspicious occasion as was the case last year with the 40th anniversary of the NAWCC’s world-famous Watch & Clock Museum (opened to the public on the 6th November 1977). In recognition of this milestone, RGM Watch Co. created a ‘one-off’ timepiece, the ‘Milestone Watch’, based on the Model 151 which was later auctioned and raised an impressive $7,200. These funds go towards the Museum’s mission to preserve art, science, history and technology of time and timekeeping.
We are proud to help commemorate the anniversary of an organisation that has done so much to preserve our horological past.” Roland Murphy, Founder, RGM Watch Co.
Once again, Roland Murphy, Founder of the RGM Watch Co. has agreed to generously donate a modified version of his Model 455 Classic Chronograph with a special engraving on the case-back and printing on the dial denoting the occasion.
It is so important that organisations like the NAWCC continue to thrive and grow, attracting the next generation of horologists and collectors. We look forward to the next 75-years.

For All Time
For All Time is a $7.5 million fundraising initiative to shape the future of the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors (NAWCC) for the society, communities, and members. This historic campaign is an opportunity to invest in the future. The magnitude of the goal reflects the breadth of their aspiration: to ensure the ongoing presence of the Museum and the Library, to educate future generations, and to enhance an already extraordinary Association. For All Time will strengthen and transform our capabilities in five strategic areas:
The National Watch and Clock Museum: Expand and enhance access to the largest and most comprehensive international collection in the Americas devoted to timekeeping and timepieces.
The Library and Research Center: Expand and enhance access to the largest professionally staffed public library and archives in the world dedicated to time and timekeeping.
Education: Use the skills and knowledge of horologists to reach new audiences, increase access, provide relevant instruction, and promote enhanced interaction.
The NAWCC: Promote research and scholarship to fund the programs that encourage and stimulate interest in the art and science of horology.
Capital Improvements: Upgrade the Museum, Library, and Association facilities and technologies in Columbia, Pennsylvania, to enable ongoing first-rate delivery of services.
