Lilith was a female demon or ‘night hag’ who, according to some of the many stories about her, was Adam’s first wife, Eve being the second. Lilith was supposedly created in the same way as Adam, which led to much disagreement about which of them should be subservient in bedroom matters.
Lilith was eventually banished from the Garden of Eden to become the incarnation of lust, seducing men and spawning endless demonic offspring. There are a great number of different versions and interpretations of Lilith’s behaviour, but the bottom line is that you would probably not want to meet her on a dark night.
The Black Moon is calculated from several factors. The main factor being the lunar apogee, the spot where the Moon reaches its maximum distance from the Earth. The Black Moon unfortunately doesn’t exist, but that took a long time to prove, during which it became associated with Lilith. Whilst the Black Moon isn’t a physical thing, there are a number of occasions that people use the term depending on whether a new moon is absent in a month or when there are two in the same month.
In astrology, the Black Moon represents the negative traits of guilt, shame, hatred, envy, and vengefulness, the true dark side of things we try to hide.
And now to the point…
The Korona K3 Black Moon from Sarpeneva was the first watch created that indicates the New Moon, whereas all other moon phase watches show the Full Moon.
In addition to indicating the New Moon phases on your watch, you could also download a free Sarpaneva Black Moon App to use on your mobile to remind you to hide under the duvet at the appropriate time, to avoid a meeting with Lilith.
On second thoughts, that’s probably not such a good idea!
