At the heart of the dial, the distinctive numerals—created by graphic designer Philippe Apeloig—bring an airy, graphic rhythm to the reading of time. Set against a galvanic brown centre that plays with the light, the composition is punctuated by gilded baton hands and four harmoniously arranged counters displaying the date, month, second time zone, leap year cycle, and a mother-of-pearl moon phase floating in an aventurine sky.
Hermès’ artisans in Le Noirmont have refined every surface, from sandblasted textures to snailed and sunburst finishes, enhancing both legibility and depth. All of this is framed by a 39.5 mm rose gold case whose understated elegance defines the Slim philosophy.
Beneath the sapphire case-back beats the ultra-thin self-winding Hermès H1950 movement—just 9.06 mm thick even with the integrated perpetual calendar module. Intelligent and autonomous, it accounts for the irregular length of months and faithfully marks 29 February every leap year with no intervention required. A dual-time display with day/night indication and a poetic moon phase complete the complication suite. Hand-chamfered bridges, decorated with Hermès’ signature “sprinkling of Hs,” reveal the brand’s fusion of technical rigour and artisanal craft.
