After more than five decades concealed in the Ollech & Wajs archives, two historic military watches, originally produced for U.S. Army units during the Vietnam era, are reactivated.

A pair of remarkable archival discoveries has prompted Ollech & Wajs (OW) to re-issue two rare field and pilot watches originally created for U.S. Army units at the height of the Vietnam era. First produced in 1969 and 1970 as part of a small, little-documented run of custom military pieces, these watches were privately purchased by deployed personnel throughout Southeast Asia—and later cherished by veterans who trusted OW for its reliability, rugged construction, and impressive water resistance. Surviving examples are exceptionally scarce, making them highly coveted among collectors of vintage OWZ.
Ollech & Wajs unveils the OW MK-102 (2nd Infantry Division DMZ Edition) and the OW MV-82 (Vietnam Airborne Edition)—modern commemoratives built with deep respect for their origins and to the uncompromising standards of the contemporary OW collection.
Ollech & Wajs MK-102

The MK-102 takes direct inspiration from the 1969 K-101, a bespoke watch commissioned for soldiers of the U.S. Army’s 2nd Infantry Division—the famed “Indianhead” Division—tasked with protecting the Korean Demilitarised Zone from 1965 onward. Their role was critical: to safeguard the peninsula from northern incursions during one of the tensest periods of the Cold War.

OW preserves the defining feature of the original: the vintage Indian Head insignia, long associated with strength, courage, and battlefield resolve. It is a fitting tribute to the troops who served on one of the world’s most volatile frontiers.
Ollech & Wajs MV-82

The second archival revival hails from 1970 and honours U.S. Army Airborne units. The new MV-82 reprises the “Jump Wings”—the Parachutist Badge awarded upon completion of Airborne School—an emblem that speaks to the discipline, bravery, and elite stature of qualified military parachutists.

Just like its predecessor, the re-issue proudly bears the words ‘Airborne’ and ‘All The Way’—the iconic call-and-response of the legendary 82nd Airborne Division.
