Split Watches has revealed In The Skies, the final and most ambitious release in its MC chronograph series.
Eighteen months in development, the model represents a significant technical and aesthetic milestone for the brand: Split’s first fully luminescent watch, and the first of its kind to reach full production.
Staying true to the MC collection’s uncompromising design language, In The Skies rejects superfluous finishing in favour of purpose-driven form. The result is a bold, industrial chronograph built for collectors who value authenticity, function, and character over polish.

“Staying true to the MC collection’s signature language, In The Skies features
Ed Margulies, Founder, Split Watches
an uncompromising form with no unnecessary polish—built for those who
value authenticity, character, and purpose-driven design.”
Powering the watch is a bi-compax automatic chronograph movement from the Seiko family, chosen for its proven reliability and mechanical credibility. The case is crafted from Split’s proprietary Ceramod+ material and paired with a durable FKM rubber strap, ensuring both robustness and all-day wearability.
What truly sets In The Skies apart, however, is its luminosity. Japanese luminous powder is infused directly into the watch’s materials during manufacture using a closely guarded formula, creating a uniform, intense glow that defines the watch both day and night.

The case measures 42mm in diameter with a thickness of 15mm and a 20mm lug width. In The Skies is limited to just 250 pieces, priced at £1,800 including VAT.
In keeping with Split’s wider ethos, the brand will donate one hour of therapy for every watch sold, in partnership with the Anna Freud Centre.
