Hanhart Goes Stealth With New AQUASPHERE Matte Black
German watchmaker Hanhart has introduced a striking new addition to its professional dive watch collection with the launch of the AQUASPHERE Matte Black.
Combining purpose-built functionality with an understated aesthetic, the latest model embraces an all-black design while retaining the robust engineering that defines the AQUASPHERE family.
Tool Watch, Refined
The new AQUASPHERE Matte Black is exactly what its name suggests. The dial and ceramic bezel are finished in a deep matt black, creating a clean, purposeful appearance that lets the watch’s functional details take centre stage. Contrasting polished, satin-brushed and matt surfaces across the 42mm stainless steel case add subtle visual depth without compromising its no-nonsense character.
Signature Hanhart details remain, including the silver rehaut, applied hour markers, bold hands, the distinctive horizontally split stencil numerals on the ceramic bezel, a red bezel marker and a red-tipped central seconds hand.
Built for Serious Diving
Designed as a genuine professional dive watch, the AQUASPHERE Matte Black is water resistant to 300 metres (30 ATM) and equipped with a helium escape valve for saturation diving.
Legibility has been prioritised throughout. Oversized hands, generous applied markers and bezel numerals are all coated with Super-LumiNova® C1 GL X2, ensuring excellent visibility in low-light conditions and beneath the surface.
The unidirectional ceramic bezel rotates through 60 precise clicks, providing accurate elapsed-time measurement while offering the safety expected of a professional diving instrument.
Integrated lugs, machined directly into the case, further reinforce the watch’s distinctive profile while enhancing overall durability.
Swiss Mechanics
Powering the AQUASPHERE Matte Black is either the Sellita SW200-1 or Soprod P024, depending on the production series. Both Swiss-made automatic calibres operate at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4Hz), feature hacking seconds and deliver a minimum power reserve of 38 hours.
Every movement is individually regulated by Hanhart’s watchmakers in Gütenbach to the company’s exacting standards, achieving an average daily rate of 0 to +8 seconds across six positions.
Three Ways to Wear
The AQUASPHERE Matte Black is available with three strap options. The lightweight Hook Strap™ offers continuous adjustment and is ideal for wearing over a wetsuit.
Alternatively, buyers can opt for a black FKM rubber strap, supplied in two lengths and fitted with a stainless steel folding clasp, or a solid stainless steel bracelet featuring tool-free micro-adjustment and quick-release spring bars for easy strap changes.
