Mr Jones Creates It’s Most Daring Watch Yet

Mr Jones Watches is launching its first watch of the year which celebrates all the messy parts of life, perfect for embracing those abandoned New Year’s resolutions.

Feline Fine features a sunglasses-wearing, cigarette-smoking cat flanked by a lighter and a Molotov cocktail.

As the minutes tick by, two opposing mantras are revealed: ‘Everything is fine’ and ‘Everything is fucked’. The watch was designed by British illustrator Eleanor Dalzell and was inspired by her book How To Self Sabotage, which will be included with each purchase.

This watch is a celebration of the fine line between optimism and self sabotage, and acts as a reminder that it’s okay to feel ‘fine’, ‘fucked’ or anything inbetween.

To read the time, the aflame bottle marks the hour and the flickering lighter shows the minutes.

“This watch was born out of love for blending humour with existential honesty. The design is a bold statement: “Everything is fine… until it’s not.” The hands of the watch, a flickering lighter and a Molotov cocktail, remind us that time is always ticking, whether to ignite hope or embrace the mess. The watch is inspired by my book ‘How to Self Sabotage’, which I hope people will find playful, raw and relatable. Whether you’re feeling ‘fine’ or pretty ‘fucked’, the watch is here to remind you it’s okay to feel both.”

Eleanor Dalzell has also designed an accompanying t-shirt to complement the watch. The back of the tee features the watch’s same self-destructive cat, sans blanket and sunglasses. Sticking with the theme of self sabotage, the front of the shirt features an illustrated version of Eleanor saying “Hi nice to meet you I am insane”.

Feline Fine will launch on Wednesday 22nd January and will only be available to purchase for 12 hours (8am – 8pm GMT) exclusively from Mr Jones Watches website or London store.
