The Fears Watch Company marked the official opening of its first standalone boutique, in the Clifton Arcade, with a ribbon cutting ceremony.
With Fears’ roots deeply embedded in the fabric of Bristol, the new boutique is the company’s second location within the city, after opening its head office in the Paintworks development back in 2022. The opening comes as Fears continues to grow its network of Fears Authorised Stockists around the world, having always coffered its watches direct to enthusiasts and collectors and via trusted retail partners.
Located within the beautiful Victorian Arcade, which was first opened in 1878, these elegant and calm surroundings are the perfect setting for visitors to appreciate the Fears experience. With easy travel accessibility from London and the South West, the Bristol boutique offers an ‘open door’ policy for guests with no need for an appointment. All visitors to the boutique may view the full Fears collection whilst enjoying a glass of West of England sparkling wine, local beers and Fears’ own blend of Bristol Breakfast tea.
“I’ve always believed that as good as our photography and videos are, you can only really appreciate the quality of our watches in the metal. The nuances in the hand finished dials and cases are best seen when the watch is in the hand. This is why I’m delighted to cut the ribbon on our new Bristol boutique in the beautiful Clifton Arcade. When I visited Bristol prior to re-establishing the company in 2016 I would always visit the Arcade and enjoy perusing the many charming independent retailers located there. I never could have guessed that less than a decade later Fears would have its own boutique there, located at Number 4. I encourage as many people as possible to come and visit and enjoy the Fears experience with no appointment necessary.”
