Mr Jones Adds Colour With Latest Limited Release
The new watch released by Mr Jones Watches is a candy-coloured kaleidoscope that will transport you to a dreamworld.
Daydreamer, designed by British Sri Lankan artist, Murugiah, will launch on Thursday 2nd April and is limited to 300 pieces.
Bringing Murugiah’s signature sense of curiosity and colour, the watch face features an ever-moving threaded mandala pattern and colourful clouds, inviting the wearer to take a wander through their imagination.
An illustrated character called Muru, a recurring character in Murugiah’s work, lounges at the heart of the watch and cruises through the design as the minutes tick by.
“Navigating the world and learning about oneself within it is a universal feeling. This investigation can seem intense, so with this design in particular, I wanted to represent the part of me that daydreams my way through the investigation of my work.”

To read the time, the red petal indicates the hour, whereas the illustrated Muru points to the minutes.
Liberated by the fact that most people check the time on their mobile phones or smart devices, Mr Jones Watches specialises in playful and eye-catching watch designs that each have their own unique way to tell the time.
Daydreamer is available exclusively from Mr Jones Watches and is limited to just 300 pieces.
About The Designer
MURUGIAH is a British Sri Lankan multi-disciplinary artist, illustrator and designer working in London. With a colourful and surreal aesthetic, he playfully explores the joyful, and sometimes bittersweet, experience of his daily life and identity.
Infused with a candy-coated palette and peppered with South Asian motifs, his work ranges from public sculpture to illustration and design projects.
Trained in architecture, but working as an illustrator and artist for the last decade, MURUGIAH has collaborated with clients including Faber & Faber, Refugee Week, The Stanley Kubrick Estate, Apple and Elton John.
