Mr Jones Launches Space-Themed Watch

Mr Jones Watches, is set to launch an intergalactic new watch into its permanent collection this week.

Continuum will blast off on Wednesday, 5th November and will be available exclusively from the Mr Jones Watches website and from its London store.

Designed by British illustrator and pattern designer Jacqueline Colley, Continuum is a retro-futurist space scene filled with shooting stars, aliens and an ever-in-motion kaleidoscopic wormhole.

The hour will be visible through the circular window of the rocket, and the meteor will mark the minutes as it orbits around the watch face.

“This watch is a love letter to retro-futurism: with bold graphics, candy colours, and that sense that in space, there’s no such thing as up or down. There’s something magical about how space bends time and perspective, and I wanted to reflect that playful weirdness; a pop culture galaxy where anything goes.
This design is a natural evolution of my visual world – there’s lots of layered detail, bold shapes, and a bit of disorder! I like to create scenes that reward closer inspection, the watch face gave me the perfect opportunity to do that on a new scale. It was a fun challenge to fit in characters, movement, and a little narrative while still making it readable and wearable. A world you can get lost in for a moment, even if you’re just checking the time.”

Jacqueline Colley is an award-winning illustrator and pattern designer based in East London, recognised for her distinctive colour palette of pastels and bright tones. Her work transforms everyday objects – like tea and orange juice – into playful illustrations full of optimism. Combining hand-drawn typography with graphic elements, her illustrations capture a sense of curiosity and delight in the little things.
