To celebrate the anniversary of the Radiomir, Panerai has added the Perpetual Calendar complication to this storied collection.
The result is the stunning new Radiomir Perpetual Calendar GMT Goldtech™ PAM01453. Enlarging the Radiomir universe, this new watch piece is enriched by the preciousness of Panerai Goldtech™ and it is an homage to the collection that mostly embodies the origins of the Maison. Once again with the new Radiomir Perpetual Calendar GMT Panerai remains faithful to its ethos of creating clear and intuitive instruments even in its high-complication segment, conforming with the original purpose of creating a clean user-friendly design for elevated legibility, functionality and performance.
The Perpetual Calendar developed by Panerai introduces a new intuitive function where adjustments are made only with the crown allowing changes to the day, date, month and leap year without using a tool or corrector, including during month-end periods and approaching midnight. PAM01453 is further enriched by a GMT complication. With a 24-hour display, it is a return to their heritage, echoing some of the earliest models developed in the early 2000s. This feature adds a new dimension to the watch’s usability, especially for those who track multiple time zones.
At the heart of the PAM01453 is the P.4100, an automatic mechanical movement which required more than 5 years of development. With a three-day power reserve, the watch’s energy is stored in two barrels, with off-centre micro-rotor that winds the movement beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz), to ensure precision and reliability in timekeeping. The caliber’s size and placement allow it to only measure 15 ½ lignes (35.1 mm) in diameter and 7mm in thickness despite the number of features it sustains.
PAM01453 brings out the distinctive key elements characterising the Radiomir line: the cushion-shaped case, cone-shaped crown, wire loop strap attachments and sandwich dial filled with Super-LumiNova®. The timepiece boasts a white shaded sun-brushed sandwich dial and is set in a Panerai Goldtech™ case, a gold material developed their team that includes a combination of platinum and copper, giving an intense red hue and improving durability.
Water resistant up to 10 BAR (~100 meters), the timepiece is equipped with a brown alligator strap and adjustable BDR clasp for ease of wear, added security, an elegant finishing touch to protect the complication. The PAM01453 finds its appeal among connoisseurs who look for fine details and are curious about watches to tell time and seek pleasure in aesthetics and authenticity: a complication as remarkable as the heritage it embodies.
