To mark 100 years of its historic Piazza San Giovanni boutique in Florence, Officine Panerai unveils something far more ambitious than a commemorative piece.

From September 15th to 18th, 2026, collectors will step directly into the narrative that shaped Panerai’s DNA. The journey begins in Florence, cradle of the Maison, where guests will celebrate a century of presence in Piazza San Giovanni through a curated exhibition retracing the brand’s evolution from precision instrument maker to cult watchmaker.

Participants will follow the submerged footsteps of Italy’s legendary naval frogmen, exploring their original training grounds and operational waters at the mouth of the Serchio River. The experience culminates at the COMSUBIN base in Porto Venere, followed by a yacht voyage along the Ligurian coastline, a fitting tribute to Panerai’s maritime bloodline.
For the first time in its history, Panerai pairs one of its exclusive Experiences with a dedicated two-piece Watch Set: PAM01729 and PAM01730. Limited to just 30 sets worldwide, this is collecting elevated to pilgrimage.
Radiomir Viaggio nel Tempo Experience PAM01729

A commanding 47mm bronze Radiomir housing the legendary California dial, a configuration that remains one of the most romantic in horology. Roman numerals above. Arabic below. A design born from necessity, engineered for instant orientation in darkness, now revered as collector scripture.
Legend traces the “California” name to dial restorers in the Golden State, but its soul is purely Florentine.
The bronze case crafted from a high-purity copper and tin alloy evolves with its owner. Fresh from the box, it glows with a red-gold warmth. Over time, air, salt, heat and touch sculpt a unique patina, transforming each watch into a personal artifact. No two will age alike. This is living metal.
Vintage cues abound: slim wire lugs, cone-shaped crown, domed PLEXIGLAS® crystal and beige Super-LumiNova® emitting a green nocturnal glow. Blue burnished steel hands, thermally blued at approximately 300°C, float against a deep black dial, reinforcing the watch’s historic gravitas.
Inside beats the hand-wound P.3000 calibre, offering a robust three-day power reserve. Large bridges, thick screws, twin barrels, architecture inspired by Panerai’s historic military instruments and built for resilience.

Turn the watch over and a sapphire window reveals the movement through a titanium caseback. The dark brown rolled leather strap and trapezoidal bronze buckle complete the military narrative.
This is not retro. This is resurrection.
Radiomir Viaggio nel Tempo Experience PAM01730

If the PAM01729 speaks of maritime oxidation, the PAM01730 whispers platinum authority.
This 47mm Radiomir is forged from Panerai Platinumtech™ a proprietary alloy containing 95% pure platinum and engineered to be significantly harder than standard platinum. It carries 33% more weight than 18-carat gold, delivering a reassuring heft that reminds you this is serious horology.
The aesthetic remains resolutely historic: cushion case, wire lugs, cone crown and domed PLEXIGLAS® crystal. Yet beneath this vintage façade lies contemporary mastery.
Powering the watch is the hand-wound P.3001/10 calibre. Skeletonised bridges finished with perlage reveal the balance in motion, while a discreet power-reserve indicator sits on the reverse to preserve dial purity. It is mechanical theatre for those who appreciate nuance.

For the first time, Panerai introduces a black circular-brushed sandwich dial. Executed through a meticulous hand-applied rotational brushing technique, micro-circles catch and manipulate light, giving the dial a dynamic, almost liquid presence. The tone-on-tone “Radiomir Panerai” engraving is intentionally subtle, a nod to the secrecy that once shrouded these military tools.
Blue burnished hands and beige Super-LumiNova® maintain visual harmony with its bronze sibling, while a dark brown alligator strap and polished white gold trapezoidal buckle elevate the composition.
Both watches are water-resistant to 10 bar (100 metres) and tested to +25% of their stated depth rating because Panerai never forgets its operational roots.
Presented in a mahogany case and available from June 2026, the Radiomir Viaggio Nel Tempo Experience Set is limited to just 30 examples worldwide.
