Originally introduced by Piaget in 1972 as the 15102, this bold design masterpiece was later renamed the Black Tie watch in 2014.

At its core was the revolutionary Beta 21 movement, making it a standout in horological innovation. Among the seven Piaget watches owned by legendary artist and cultural icon Andy Warhol, this model was his favourite, embodying the aspirational spirit of the Piaget Society.
Now officially recognised as the Andy Warhol watch, this creation results from a collaboration between Piaget and The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts. It celebrates the enduring friendship between Warhol and Yves Piaget, a bond forged in the vibrant social scenes of New York, chez Regine’s, and the glamorous Washington galas.
With its commanding 45mm case and sweeping gold gadroons elegantly curving around the bezel, the watch quickly cemented its place among the most coveted collectible icons. Its legacy continues as a symbol of avant-garde style and artistic expression.

A true testament to Piaget’s mastery of colour, the latest High Jewellery interpretation of the Andy Warhol watch transforms the codes of the original 1972 design into a breathtaking display of opal and blue sapphires. Only the second High Jewellery iteration of this iconic timepiece, it follows the extraordinary one-of-a-kind creation from 2023’s Metaphoria collection, which featured a petrified wood dial, custom-cut emerald hour markers, and a triple row of baguette-cut emeralds encircling the case. Now, this latest edition shifts from the earthy tones of green and brown to a mesmerising palette of kaleidoscopic blues and greens.

At its heart is a luminous opal dial, alive with flashes of blue and green—a gemstone of such remarkable size and radiance that finding one to fill the watch’s 45mm case is a rarity in itself. Opal, Yves Piaget’s favorite stone, has long symbolised purity and truth. Here, its brilliance is heightened by a meticulously selected collection of baguette-cut blue sapphires, forming triple-row gadroons that embrace the case in a uniformly vivid hue—a challenge Piaget’s expert gemologists met with remarkable precision.
“The world to me is like an opal, made of different tastes and colours.”
Yves Piaget
This philosophy comes to life in the new High Jewellery Andy Warhol watch, where elegantly tapered dauphine hands complete a design that unites Piaget’s unparalleled expertise in both watchmaking and haute joaillerie.
Piaget’s passion for ornamental stones has shaped some of its most striking timepieces and jewelry, showcasing an extraordinary array of vibrant minerals. Over the years, the Maison has embraced everything from the velvety, gold-flecked depths of blue lapis lazuli and the bold, striped contrasts of pink and red jasper to the lush green of jade and the ethereal beauty of boulder opal.
Now, joining the 2024 Clou de Paris Andy Warhol watch collection—featuring the striking blue meteorite edition—is a stunning new interpretation with a tiger’s eye dial. This richly amber-hued ornamental stone, with its deep orange and brown tones, became especially popular in Piaget designs from the 1960s onward. Expertly cut to accentuate its delicate golden striations, the dial showcases a mesmerising interplay of natural graphic patterns and opalescent lustre.
This latest addition joins Piaget’s growing ornamental stone dial collection, including the blue meteorite Clou de Parisand the captivating green and white meteorite dials to be unveiled at Watches & Wonders. The deep green meteorite dial is perfectly paired with a white gold gadroon case, while the intricately flecked white meteorite dial is elegantly set against soft rose gold.

At its core, the Andy Warhol Tiger’s Eye watch is powered by Piaget’s in-house 501P1 Manufacture self-winding movement, seamlessly blending artistry and technical mastery. It also forms part of a bespoke collection, offering collectors the opportunity to personalise their timepieces with ten different ornamental stone dials, five distinct leather strap colours, a choice of baton or dauphine hands, and cases in either white or rose gold. This limitless versatility allows each collector to craft their own unique Piaget Andy Warhol identity—a true mark of distinction.
