Bob Bray, owner of Sinclair Harding is celebrating 30-years since taking over the business in 1996. It also marks the 60th year of the bespoke clock and now watch business.

Since the end of 2024, they have been quietly developing their very own timepiece, built around the revered ETA 6498 movement. The result is a watch that reflects their shared approach to craftsmanship, detail, and restraint. It features a classic solid silver dial with a subtle, hand-finished linen texture, available in three finishes: patina silver, silver, and pickled silver. The case and bezels are machined from 904L stainless steel and finished by hand to a high polish.

They are proud to manufacture the majority of the watch in-house, including the case, dial, seconds dial, main bezel, seconds bezel, and crown. Each movement is fully serviced, pressure tested to 5 metres, and finished by hand. The wheels visible on the reverse are hand-blued, while the teeth remain platinum plated.
The prototypes have travelled the world on the wrists of friends, customers, and suppliers. The feedback has exceeded all expectations.
“It’s not bad.”
Roger W. Smith, Master Watchmaker
From the outset, their goal was to create a timepiece that feels personal, — something customers can truly make their own.

Golfer Alex Belt has become their brand ambassador. After some tough negotiations, terms have been agreed which apparently amount to free lessons.
To celebrate Bob’s 30th anniversary at Sinclair Harding, in 2026 they will produce just 30 pieces.

Each watch can be customised with a choice of dial finish, indicator colours (Gold, Rose Gold, or Platinum), seconds dial finish, hand colours, and strap options — allowing customers to create a watch that is uniquely theirs. The sapphire case back can also be laser engraved on the inside with a personal message or logo.
These watches will be available exclusively direct priced at £4,500 (inc VAT).
