This extraordinary creation embodies the Maison’s fascination with astronomy, mechanics, and the eternal rhythm of the cosmos. At once poetic and scientific, the Cosmica Duo unites two universes through a reversible case system.
- On one side, a celestial dial evokes the night sky with a rotating Northern Hemisphere star chart, perpetual calendar, and dual time zone display.
- Flip the watch over, and a fully open-worked dial reveals the intricate choreography of the new Calibre 2756-B1, showcasing true solar time, equation of time, moon phases, and the artistry of a minute repeater and tourbillon.
This mechanical symphony totals 24 complications — a fusion of astronomical function and acoustic finesse.
Developed over four years, the Calibre 2756-B1 is a technical tour de force comprising 1,003 components. A development of the 2020 Calibre 2756, it now integrates twin plates dedicated to astronomical and perpetual calendar displays.
Operating at 18,000 vibrations per hour, the tourbillon regulator ensures precise chronometry, while the minute repeater—inspired by the 2005 La Tour de l’Île—delivers perfectly harmonised chimes, its striking regulator visible beneath the sapphire crystal.
Crafted in white gold and measuring 47 mm in diameter, the case conceals a remarkable ergonomic innovation: articulated, reversible lugs that allow the strap to be flipped effortlessly without tools. Despite its complexity, the watch remains comfortable on the wrist — an impressive feat for a case housing such a monumental movement.
Depending on the wearer’s inclination, the watch can display either mean civil time or true solar time, both rendered with exquisite clarity.
The ultramarine dial is a work of celestial sculpture: a 0.25 mm rotating sky disc beneath sapphire, framed by blue-tinted mother-of-pearl and white gold markers. The reverse, a three-dimensional display of mechanical architecture, reveals golden bridges, Côtes de Genève, and polished bevels — a luminous stage for the cosmic ballet within.
