Limited to just 86 pieces, this distinctive creation brings together the expressive world of Pop Art and the Maison’s celebrated mastery of gold, colour and ornamental stone marquetry.

Inspired by Warhol’s ‘Camouflage’ self-portraits of 1986, the new timepiece offers a compelling interpretation of an artwork that explored the complex relationship between identity, celebrity and self-expression.

An Artistic Legacy Reimagined

The connection between Andy Warhol and Piaget runs deep. A passionate watch collector, Warhol owned no fewer than seven timepieces from the Maison, including the distinctive cushion-shaped reference 15102, introduced in 1972. Defined by its bold proportions and signature gadrooned case, the watch became closely associated with the artist and his flamboyant social world.

Following the formal partnership between Piaget and The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts in 2024, the collection entered a new chapter, allowing the Maison to explore the artist’s creative legacy through a series of contemporary interpretations.

Having previously presented the ‘Collage’ Limited Edition in 2025, Piaget now turns to Warhol’s camouflage portraits for its latest expression of this artistic relationship.

A Dial With A Different Perspective

Warhol’s 1986 self-portraits used camouflage as more than a visual device. The pattern introduced an intriguing duality, simultaneously revealing and concealing the artist’s face through a composition of deep, vibrant colours.

Piaget translates this concept into a striking dial featuring 27 individually crafted pieces of ornamental stone. Turquoise and sodalite provide a rich interplay of cerulean and oceanic blue, while satin-finished gold and polished rose gold introduce contrasting textures and a sense of architectural depth.

The result is a dial that captures the spirit of Warhol’s original imagery without simply reproducing it. Instead, the Maison creates an abstract composition in which colour, material and geometry take centre stage.

Achieving this effect demanded more than 100 hours of work dedicated to the design, research and craftsmanship of the dial. Each element contributes to a carefully balanced composition, demonstrating the precision required to transform natural stones into an expressive artistic canvas.

The Art Of Gold

Surrounding the dial is the collection’s distinctive gadrooned cushion-shaped case, rendered in white gold for this edition. Its sculptural contours provide a considered contrast to the vivid blue palette, while the interplay between polished and satin-finished surfaces reinforces the watch’s architectural character.

Dauphine hands maintain a clean, elegant indication of the time, ensuring that the intricate dial remains the focal point. Beneath the surface, the self-winding Manufacture 501P1 movement provides the mechanical heart of the creation.

On the reverse, each watch bears Andy Warhol’s famous signature alongside its individual number, underlining the exclusivity of this limited series.

A Collectible With Artistic Intent

Piaget has long occupied a distinctive position at the intersection of watchmaking and jewellery, particularly through its use of ornamental stones. Since embracing colour and precious materials in the early 1960s, the Maison has developed a signature aesthetic that places materiality and artistic expression at the heart of its creations.

The Andy Warhol ‘Camouflage’ Limited Edition continues that tradition with confidence. Rather than treating the watch as a surface for decoration, Piaget approaches the dial as a miniature work of art, where every stone and finish contributes to the overall composition.

Limited to 86 examples, this latest collaboration offers collectors a fresh perspective on an enduring design icon. It is a watch that brings together Warhol’s fascination with identity and imagery, Piaget’s expertise in ornamental stone craftsmanship, and the lasting appeal of a distinctive cushion-shaped silhouette.

For collectors drawn to watches with a genuine cultural connection, the ‘Camouflage’ is a compelling reminder that fine watchmaking can be as much about artistic expression as it is about measuring time.
