Alexander Shorokhoff Goes ‘Home’ Again With Lastest Model

Following the successful debut of the first ‘Home’ model, Florian Bach (AKA also known as ‘flomp89’) and Inga, the daughter of Alexander Shorokhov, have created a successor aptly named ‘Home 2’.

The historical background and inspiration for this model, drawn from the architectural works of Austrian visual artist Hundertwasser, remain intact. However, there are some changes to the colour scheme that collectors will surely enjoy. The new model ‘Home 2’ continues to embody the quirky and artistic theme of architecture, all in the style of Alexander Shorokhoff. The colourful, geometric shapes have been individually crafted yet harmoniously presented as ‘house appliqués’ against a greenish shimmering dial background. The green tone is meant to evoke the theme of environmental protection, which Hundertwasser passionately advocated.

Surrounded by a wave-like guilloche pattern in the upper section and a tile-like guilloche pattern in
the lower section of the dial, the focus remains entirely on the colourful houses at the center of the
dial. These have been crafted with cold enamel and mother-of-pearl inlays. The small blue star
appliqué at 10 o’clock and the arrow appliqué at 1 o’clock recall the starry sky above the ‘roofs’ of
the Home 2.

New features include the white lacquered hands with a black decorative line, significantly enhancing
legibility and clearly standing out against the dial. The second hand shines in rose-gold colour,
complementing the hour appliqués and the large hallmark of the Alexander Shorokhoff manufactory,
the prominent number sixty.

The rectangular case impresses with a noble stainless steel finish, with the side recesses of the
middle section adorned with green enamel. Equally unusual is the case back, which features four
small round glass windows in three different avant-garde colours—red, yellow, and blue. With its
dimensions of 41 x 41 millimeters, it fits almost seamlessly on any wrist.

Powering the watch is a high-quality Swiss automatic movement with a hand-engraved and refined rotor, blued screws, and 21 jewels. It has a power reserve of approximately 47 hours.

For this model, there are three strap options that customers can choose according to their preferences. The first option features a high-quality green rubber strap with a folding clasp. The second and third options are more elegantly designed, coming with either a black stingray leather strap or a gray ostrich leather strap.

With a limited edition of only 10 pieces, this extraordinary automatic watch showcases exclusivity and represents another successful collaboration between the two creative minds.
