In collaboration with TGV, founder of the influential YouTube channel The Urban Gentry and the creative studio Gentry Labs, Hanhart unveils a timepiece that elegantly bridges past and present – The Red Lion Mk II.

Limited to 200 pieces, this latest chronograph reinterprets the functional DNA of the legendary 417 ES, translating its utilitarian roots into a modern, technically refined design. The result is a watch that feels as ready for adventure as it does for daily wear.
The Red Lion Mk II retains the purposeful spirit of its forebear while embracing a sharper, more contemporary aesthetic. Housed in a 39mm stainless steel case, with a mix of brushed and polished surfaces, it strikes a perfect balance between robustness and refinement.
At its heart lies a bi-directional 12-hour bezel with 24 firm clicks – a clever innovation that allows for a quick reading of a second time zone. Dubbed “GMT-light”, this intuitive function gives global travellers and pilots alike an elegant alternative to the traditional GMT complication.

A highly domed sapphire crystal with dual-sided anti-reflective coating ensures clarity in all conditions, while 10-bar water resistance guarantees reliability wherever your journey takes you. On the reverse, a sapphire display back reveals the column-wheel flyback movement, complete with the discreet Gentry Labs watermark – a subtle signature of the partnership.
Beating within is the Sellita AMT5100 M, a hand-wound movement developed by Sellita’s Manufacture AMT division. This flyback calibre delivers 58 hours of power reserve and operates at a brisk 4Hz, ensuring precise and responsive timing. Each movement is finely adjusted at Hanhart’s workshop in Gütenbach to an impressive accuracy of 0 to +8 seconds per day – a testament to both tradition and technical mastery.

True to Hanhart’s philosophy, the Red Lion Mk II places readability above all else. The matte black dial features crisp white Arabic numerals and a clean layout anchored by the signature ‘Big Eye’ 30-minute counter at 3 o’clock.
No Hanhart chronograph would be complete without its signature red pusher. Crafted from HyCeram®, this hallmark detail is more than decorative – it’s steeped in both romance and functionality.

Legend tells of a pilot’s lover painting the pusher red so he would remember her while flying missions. In practice, it also served a crucial purpose: preventing the accidental resetting of the chronograph. Today, it remains a vivid emblem of Hanhart’s enduring identity.
Super-LumiNova® C1 X2 enhances visibility in low light, while the red-tipped chronograph hand adds a touch of flair – a subtle nod to the watch’s aviation lineage. Every detail is considered, every indication purposeful.

The Red Lion Mk II offers versatility in wear, available with either a durable FKM rubber strap or a solid stainless steel bracelet. The FKM strap – engineered from aerospace-grade fluoroelastomer – ensures exceptional comfort and resistance to heat, oils, and water, while the steel bracelet adds a classic, professional edge. Whichever the choice, both complement the watch’s utilitarian beauty and everyday practicality.
The partnership between Hanhart and TGV feels organic, born from a shared passion for mechanical precision and vintage-inspired design. Together, they’ve created a timepiece that honors its history without being bound by it – a watch that captures the romance of aviation and the rigour of modern engineering.
The Red Lion Mk II doesn’t just tell time. It tells a story – of craftsmanship, of evolution, and of two worlds united by a love of horology.
