Jaeger-LeCoultre Expands The Rendez-Vous Collection

Jaeger-LeCoultre has unveiled two new additions to its Rendez-Vous collection, each offering a distinctly different interpretation of feminine watchmaking.

At one end sits the highly exclusive Rendez-Vous Jewellery Night & Day, a platinum masterpiece limited to just 10 pieces. At the other is the new Rendez-Vous Hour-Minute, a pared-back, everyday model that introduces a more contemporary aesthetic to the collection.

First launched in 2012, the Rendez-Vous collection arrived at a time when relatively few manufactures were creating mechanical watches designed specifically for women. Combining elegant styling with genuine horological substance, it quickly established itself as one of the Maison’s signature collections.

The standout release is undoubtedly the Rendez-Vous Jewellery Night & Day. Crafted in a 34mm platinum case, it showcases Jaeger-LeCoultre’s celebrated Métiers Rares™ through an intricate miniature lacquer painting depicting an Asian Paradise Flycatcher resting amongst Korean Dogwood blossom.

The artwork is executed on a transparent sapphire dial, creating impressive depth while revealing the watch’s poetic Night & Day complication beneath. A rotating disc, decorated with hand-painted representations of the sun and moon, completes one full rotation every 24 hours, subtly tracking the passage from daylight to darkness.

Framing the artwork are the collection’s signature floral numerals, while a crescent of grain-set diamonds draws the eye towards the centre of the dial. The platinum bezel is set with 48 baguette-cut diamonds, complemented by brilliant-cut diamonds adorning the case sides, lugs and crown.

Powering the watch is Jaeger-LeCoultre’s automatic Calibre 733, offering a generous 70-hour power reserve. Visible through the sapphire caseback, the movement features a beautifully finished 22-carat gold oscillating weight. Completing the piece is a satin-finished blue alligator strap equipped with the Maison’s interchangeable strap system.

With production limited to only ten examples worldwide, the Rendez-Vous Jewellery Night & Day is as much an objet d’art as it is a mechanical timepiece.

While the Jewellery Night & Day celebrates artistic craftsmanship, the new Rendez-Vous Hour-Minute takes a more understated approach. Designed as an elegant daily companion, it distils the collection’s design language into a cleaner, more contemporary form.

Measuring just 29mm across and only 7.47mm thick, the watch is available in stainless steel or 18K pink gold. Both versions replace the traditional diamond-set bezel with a polished convex finish, while retaining hallmark Rendez-Vous details including floral numerals, concentric dial architecture and finely executed guilloché decoration.

Diamond hour markers provide a subtle touch of sparkle without overwhelming the design. The pink gold model is paired with a taupe alligator strap, while the stainless steel version introduces an all-new bracelet with articulated lozenge-shaped links designed to drape naturally around the wrist. Both benefit from Jaeger-LeCoultre’s quick-change strap system.

Powered by the quartz Calibre 657, the Hour-Minute focuses on simplicity, displaying only hours and minutes in a refined package intended to transition effortlessly from day to evening.

Together, these latest additions demonstrate the breadth of the Rendez-Vous collection. The Jewellery Night & Day showcases Jaeger-LeCoultre’s exceptional decorative crafts and high jewellery expertise, while the Hour-Minute offers a more contemporary and accessible expression of feminine elegance. Different in execution, yet united by thoughtful design and meticulous craftsmanship, both reinforce the Manufacture’s long-standing commitment to creating exceptional watches for women.
