Jaeger-LeCoultre Introduces Iconic Reverso Tribute Monoface ‘Or Deco’ Series
Few watches carry the cultural weight and enduring elegance of the Reverso. Since its debut in 1931, the rectangular icon from Jaeger-LeCoultre has transcended its sporting origins to become one of watchmaking’s purest expressions of Art Deco design.

Now, with the launch of five new Reverso Tribute Monoface ‘Or Deco’ models, the Manufacture continues to explore the dressier, more jewellery-inspired side of its most recognisable creation.
Following the success of the Reverso Tribute Monoface Small Seconds ‘Or Deco’ in pink gold, unveiled last year, the latest collection introduces new interpretations that lean further into vintage glamour while remaining unmistakably contemporary. The expanded line-up comprises three gem-set ‘Or Deco Cocktail’ editions, a monochromatic white gold Small Seconds model and a more compact Solo Tempo reference designed with a distinctly unisex appeal.

At the heart of the collection is a celebration of the Reverso’s timeless geometry. The clean lines, swivelling case and signature gadroons remain untouched, yet each new model introduces a different personality through colour, texture and proportion.
The standout pieces are undoubtedly the Reverso Tribute Monoface Small Seconds ‘Or Deco Cocktail’ editions. Inspired by the jewelled cocktail watches of the 1920s and ’30s, the trio arrives in three precious variations: pink gold with rubies, white gold with emeralds, and white gold with blue sapphires. Each version is limited to just 30 pieces.
Set above and below the dial are 46 baguette-cut gemstones, carefully integrated between the Reverso’s iconic gadroons. The stones intensify the watch’s rectilinear architecture while adding an unmistakably vintage character. Far from decorative excess, the gem-setting serves to amplify the purity of the design.

The watches are crafted using the demanding rail-setting technique, perfected during the Art Deco era. Executed by the artisans of Jaeger-LeCoultre’s Métiers Rares™ atelier, the process creates an uninterrupted ribbon of colour and light, with each stone aligned edge-to-edge and secured with microscopic precision. Particularly challenging were the emerald-set models, whose delicate nature demanded exceptional care throughout the setting process.
Equally striking is the integration of the Milanese mesh bracelet, a detail that defines the entire ‘Or Deco’ aesthetic. Rather than simply pairing an existing bracelet with the Reverso case, Jaeger-LeCoultre designed the watches as cohesive, all-gold compositions.
Crafted from more than 10 metres of woven gold thread, the Milanese bracelet drapes around the wrist with remarkable fluidity. Its silky texture contrasts beautifully with the matte-grained dial, polished Dauphine hands and applied hour markers. The result is a sophisticated interplay between shine and softness, vintage and modernity.
The history of Milanese mesh itself mirrors that of the Reverso. Originating in 13th-century Milan as chain mail, the technique later evolved into precious jewellery before reaching peak popularity during the Art Deco period. Like the Reverso, it faded from fashion before enjoying a revival in the 1970s and, more recently, a renewed appreciation among collectors drawn to its versatile elegance.

Each of the new models retains the slim proportions that have become a hallmark of the contemporary Reverso Tribute collection. Measuring 45.6 mm x 27.4 mm and just 7.56 mm thick, the Small Seconds models sit elegantly on the wrist while preserving the refined profile expected of a formal timepiece.
Inside beats the manually wound Calibre 822, designed, produced and assembled entirely in-house by Jaeger-LeCoultre. The rectangular movement mirrors the shape of the case and delivers a 42-hour power reserve, while the Small Seconds display at 6 o’clock maintains the balance and symmetry of the dial.
Alongside the gem-set novelties, Jaeger-LeCoultre introduces a new white gold Reverso Tribute Monoface Small Seconds ‘Or Deco’. More restrained in appearance, it offers a cool monochromatic interpretation of the collection’s design language. The silvery grained dial flows seamlessly into the polished white gold case and bracelet, creating a sleek and understated elegance that feels distinctly contemporary despite its vintage influences.
Completing the 2026 additions is the Reverso Tribute Monoface ‘Or Deco Solo Tempo’. Smaller, cleaner and more minimal in execution, the new model distils the Reverso to its purest form. Dispensing with the Small Seconds display, the dial embraces simplicity, while the resized case takes inspiration from the proportions of original 1930s references.
Measuring 40.1 mm x 24.4 mm, the Solo Tempo offers a more compact presence that feels perfectly suited to modern tastes. Its monochromatic pink gold aesthetic and restrained detailing give it a versatility that transcends traditional gender categories, equally elegant on any wrist.

More than nine decades after its creation, the Reverso continues to evolve without compromising its identity. Originally conceived for polo players seeking to protect their watch crystals during matches in British India, the swivelling case quickly became a canvas for artistic expression and technical innovation.
The new ‘Or Deco’ series demonstrates that the Reverso remains as adaptable as ever. Combining vintage glamour with contemporary refinement, jewellery craftsmanship with mechanical watchmaking, these latest additions reaffirm why the Reverso continues to stand among the great icons of horology.
