Jaeger-LeCoultre Tribute Nonantieme ‘Enamel’ Celebrates Reverso’s 90th Anniversary

Jaeger-LeCoultre Tribute Nonantieme ‘Enamel’ Celebrates Reverso’s 90th Anniversary

Following the 2021 debut of the Reverso Tribute Nonantième ‘Enamel’ in celebration of the Reverso’s 90th anniversary, Jaeger-LeCoultre unveils a stunning new interpretation of the timepiece.

Crafted in 18k pink gold (750/1000), this edition features a refined grey sunray dial and intricate decorative enamelling on the reverse. Limited to just 90 pieces, it once again reflects La Grande Maison’s unwavering commitment to technical innovation, timeless design, and exceptional craftsmanship.

Driven by a passion for beauty and refined craftsmanship, the latest interpretation of the Reverso Tribute Nonantième ‘Enamel’ blends elegance with intricate detailing. Its grey sunray-brushed dial exudes sophistication, while the richly decorated reverse side adds an element of artistic surprise. The signature Reverso Tribute design – elongated applied indexes, Dauphine hands, and a chemin de fer minutes track – keeps the focus on the complications.

At 12 o’clock, the ‘Grande Date’ display is framed in pink gold, mirroring the rectangular contours of the case and dial. Below, within the small seconds counter, a moon phase display glows against a star-strewn deep blue sky. While these delicate details hint at the aesthetic theme of the reverse side, they give no indication of the spectacle revealed when the case is flipped.

On the reverse, the Nonantième’s distinctive and visually striking displays unfold beneath a mesmerising starry night sky. Two round apertures, arranged in a figure-eight formation and surrounded by gadroons echoing the case’s signature lines, create a dynamic presentation of time. The upper aperture showcases a semi-jumping digital hour display against a crisp white background, while the lower, larger aperture features rotating minutes, partially hidden by a lacquered blue three-quarter plate. Pink gold stars are delicately transferred onto the lacquer, forming a celestial tableau.

At the center of this cosmic scene, a polished sun and moon glide above a horizon, indicating the passage of day and night. Below the horizon, a semi-circular guilloché pattern radiates like sunrays, encircled by a pink gold beaded frame (18k, 750/1000). Expanding upon the original Nonantième’s design, where a solid pink gold expanse once dominated, the new edition transforms this space into a breathtaking starry night sky. Layers of rich blue enamel shimmer with scattered stars, while laser-engraved latitude and longitude lines reveal glimpses of the pink gold beneath, adding depth and artistry to this celestial masterpiece.

Featuring 243 components and displaying the same time on both faces, Calibre 826 was designed specifically for the Reverso Tribute Nonantième ‘Enamel’ and developed entirely in-house. Given the Reverso’s rectangular shape, Jaeger-LeCoultre’s engineers overcame the challenge of adapting traditionally round complications.

To fit the Grande Date within the limited upper dial space, they created a patented side-by-side disc mechanism, ensuring both digits display at the same level. The digital hour display, a nod to the brand’s 1930s designs, uses a semi-jumping transition for elegance and power efficiency.

Limited to 90 pieces, this edition highlights the Reverso’s timeless versatility and Jaeger-LeCoultre’s dedication to craftsmanship, creativity, and innovation.
