The Newport Carbone Titane was launched by HERBELIN to accompany brand ambassador Aurélien Ducroz on the Route du Rhum 2022.
Building on this success, HERBELIN used it as the inspiration for a new model. While the Day/Date functions of this self-winding watch make it more classic than its predecessor, it remains just as high-tech in terms of materials, and equally elegant in design. The materials used in the case – measuring 43 mm in diameter with a thickness of 12.45 mm – make it reliably robust as well as extremely lightweight. Carbon is renowned for being ultra-resistant to both shocks and temperature differences.
Crafted from forged carbon paired with a titanium container with DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) coating, it is attached with five screws visible on the carbon dial. Complete with a two-tone day/date aperture at 3 o’clock, this precision instrument is accented by a red central seconds hand with a white luminescent tip, designed specifically for the Newport Carbone Titane, as are the other two hands.
This new HERBELIN model is water-resistant to 200 metres and fitted with a high-performance FKM elastomer strap with a deployment clasp with securing buckle. Thanks to its durability and high performance it is guaranteed for ten years. It gives the model a truly comfortable feel while at the same time reinforcing its robust character.
The sporty Newport Carbone Titane Day/Date is powered by a Swissmade self-winding movement (Sellita). Visible through the transparent case back, it incorporates 26 jewels, oscillates at 28,800 vibrations per hour and has a 41-hour power reserve. Watch enthusiasts will be thrilled with the careful attention to detail, right down to the ‘HERBELIN’ engraved oscillating weight with a softened finish.
