Mr Jones Watches will launch its last limited edition watch of 2025, inspired by walking trips where every wrong turn becomes a new adventure.
K9 is limited to just 300 pieces.
The watch, designed by artist and educator Robin Williamson, is a celebration of adventures, detours and finding joy in wandering off the beaten path.
Finding inspiration in the most unusual of places, the initial idea for K9 came when Robin found one of his dog’s baby teeth on the floor. The curved peaks and bright white enamel evoked a glacial mountain range.
Using illustrations of his dog’s teeth to create the slopes, Robin has brought to life an icy world where the terrain is constantly shifting and evolving as time passes.
To read the time, the wearer will look for the two explorers who wander the watch’s surreal landscape: the figure dressed in blue points to the minutes, whereas the second character in orange marks the hours.
“Each year I go on walking holidays with friends. One of which who used to work with maps seemingly can’t read one, and regularly leads us in the wrong direction. This, however, might be my favourite part of our trips, as we see much more of our surroundings. This aspect fed into my design, with this sense of being lost in time and embracing our environment. The curved peaks and bright whites of my dog’s tooth reminded me of old polar explorer photographs. I used photographs from a recent trip to the Lake District, where I was in awe of a type of landscape I’d never seen before.”

About the Designer
Robin Williamson is a fine artist and college lecturer from Bedford, England. His practice includes handmade interactive sculptures and etching machines that encourage and document audience interaction.
His focus currently is on either portraits or the backs of people’s heads that he realises in a variety of mediums. He is interested in creating work about things that are disregarded, such as miserable days out and unposed expressions.
He sometimes dabbles in the world of signwriting, with recent commissions including a Luthier’s studio in London and a rug maker’s shop in Sheffield.
