Mr Jones Latest Release Finds Humour In Life’s Minor Frustrations

The new limited edition watch released by Mr Jones Watches takes humour in life’s minor frustrations like painfully slow laptops and heavy traffic jams.

&#@%!?, designed by London illustrator and Mr Jones Watches’ printmaker, Rocky Beeson, launches on Friday 31st July and is limited to just 300 pieces.

This marks the second watch Rocky has designed for the London-based watch brand. Her work centres on playful and tongue-in-cheek illustrations that take aim at the daily irritations of daily life. 

Instead of traditional hands, the watch measures the wearer’s day using metal hands that say “Slow as F***” and “Not as Slow”. Think watching the seconds tick by at a snail’s pace during a meeting that could have been an email.

Liberated by the fact that most people check the time on their mobile phones or smart devices, Mr Jones Watches specialises in playful and eye-catching watch designs that each have their own unique way to tell the time.

About The Designer

Rocky Beeson is an Illustrator and Printmaker based in South London. She graduated with first-class honours in Illustration from the University of the Arts London in 2022.

As a Print and Art Technician at Mr Jones Watches, Rocky specialises in Artwork preparation, pad printing and gilding. Rocky’s ‘I see it, I hate it, I draw it’ ethos drives a body of work that is bold, satirical and rooted in personal observation. She transforms everyday annoyances into sharply executed one-off art pieces that blend humour with critique.
