Piaget announced in 2024, a landmark partnership with The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts, formally dedicating one of its most iconic creations—the cushion-shaped reference 15102—to the legendary Pop artist.

A year later, this collaboration has yielded a masterpiece of horological and artistic expression: The Andy Warhol Watch ‘Collage’ Limited Edition, a 50-piece creation that translates Warhol’s unmistakable aesthetic into the language of fine watchmaking.
An Artistic Dialogue Across Time
For more than 150 years, Piaget has drawn inspiration from the creative arts, forging collections that blur the line between jewelry, design, and haute horlogerie. This commitment to artistry resonated deeply with Andy Warhol, whose collecting habits were as eclectic as they were discerning. Known for amassing over 300 timepieces—including seven Piaget models—Warhol wore his 1973 yellow-gold 15102 with particular distinction.

That piece, conceived by Jean-Claude Gueit and produced in limited series from 1972 to 1977, later gained the nickname “Black Tie.” It became an emblem not only of Piaget’s bold 1970s creativity but also of Warhol’s own fascination with objects that fused luxury, design, and cultural resonance.
Reimagining the Icon
Today, Piaget and The Andy Warhol Foundation have reinterpreted that history with the Collage Limited Edition. Its dial takes direct inspiration from Warhol’s celebrated 1986 polaroid self-portrait collage, rendered through the intricate art of marquetry.

Four ornamental stones—black onyx, pink opal, green chrysoprase, and yellow serpentine—are meticulously cut and set to create a vibrant abstract composition. The stepped 45mm case, cast in 18-carat yellow gold in homage to Warhol’s own watch, enhances the striking geometry. A deep green leather strap completes the palette, chosen to accentuate rather than overpower the dial’s vivid contrasts.
Mechanical Elegance
Inside beats Piaget’s in-house 501P1 automatic calibre, a slimline movement offering a 40-hour power reserve. Visible beneath the satin-finished caseback, the rotor is engraved with Warhol’s self-portrait, accompanied by his signature and Piaget’s logo—a fusion of artistry and mechanics that underscores the watch’s collectible stature.

“With such a wealth of material to draw on, it was extremely difficult to know where to begin. Should we look to one of his most famous works and iterate on a banana, a can of soup, or perhaps Marilyn Monroe? We quickly learned that we wanted to express Warhol, but without being obvious. To suggest, rather than to show. For their part, the foundation encouraged us to approach the project with freedom and to interpret

Warhol in Piaget’s expressive, unbounded style. The result is a watch that tells the story of our collaboration but that stands on its own as a piece of watchmaking art, a collectible inspired by one of history’s most prolific collectors.”
Only 50 examples of the Andy Warhol Watch ‘Collage’ Limited Edition will be produced worldwide. Each represents not only a tribute to a visionary artist but also a chapter in Piaget’s enduring exploration of the intersection between art and horology.
For collectors, it is more than a watch. It is a wearable work of art—an object that bridges eras, cultures, and creative disciplines.
