A supernatural new watch has zapped into the permanent collection at Mr Jones Watches just in time for Halloween.
Monster Melter 3000 was a hit with the creative watch brand’s customers when it was first released during a limited-edition run last year. It will now return to the brand’s core collection from Friday 26th September.
The watch – designed by British artist Onorio D’Epiro – features an illustrated astronaut in an endless battle with a neon space monster.
Featuring fluorescent ink and a glittering airbrush effect, this supernatural watch has been designed to transport its wearer to another galaxy.
“I’ve always had a love for sci-fi movies such as Alien, Blade Runner and 2001: A Space Odyssey. So I really wanted to design a watch that pays homage to this genre in cinema. The final battle in Aliens has always stuck with me as a really cool moment and I used this as inspiration but with my own playful twist. I mean, who doesn’t love a drooling tentacle monster with 30 eyes?! My main aim is to design a fun watch that makes you smile every time you look at your wrist.”

Liberated by the fact that most people check the time on their mobile phones or smart devices, Mr Jones Watches specialises in playful and eye-catching watch designs that each have their own unique way to tell the time.

About The Designer
Onorio D’Epiro is a designer and illustrator from Bedfordshire, England. As a child he developed a fascination for character design and special effects and mastered the video recorder at a precocious age in order to feed his passion for film.
He studied Model Design and Special Effects at the University of Hertfordshire and after graduating was drawn to the world of designer art toys. He began by creating one-off bespoke pieces and later developed a series of robot collectables known as “Justrobots”, which gained a dedicated following around the world.
His work has been exhibited widely including at The Pictoplasma Portrait Gallery in Berlin, The Victoria and Albert Museum in London, and the MARCO Museo de Arte, Contemporano in Mexico City.
